Step-by-step plan

What do you need?

Always first:

  • Unplug the drain pump.
  • Turn off the tap.
  • Tip: When disassembling the old part, take frequent pictures, so you can easily see how to reassemble the new part.

Replacing the dishwasher drain pump:

1. Loosen the bottom of the dishwasher.
The drainage pump is located at the bottom of the dishwasher. Carefully lay the dishwasher on its side and loosen the underside. Loosen the underside, some appliances require you to loosen screws to do this, in this case there is a click system.

2. Remove the drain pump.
The drain pump is attached to the housing by a click system. Your dishwasher may instead have it attached with screws. Disconnect the drainage pump and remove it from the appliance. Then disconnect the wiring.

3. Fit the new drain pump.
Attach the wiring to the new drainage pump. Replace the new drain pump where the old one was.

4. Replace the housing.
Reattach the bottom of the dishwasher. This can be done by snapping the underside into the retaining clips.

The correct number is the type- or model number and NOT the serial number. The model number is a row of numbers and/or letters. Sometimes the model number contains a hyphen (-) or a forward slash (/).
