Always first:
- Disconnect plug from power socket
- Tip: when dismantling the old part, regularly take photos so you can see how to reassemble the new part.
1. Loosen the knob of the thermostat
The thermostat is directly connected to the thermostat knob. The thermostat knob can be pushed loose with a screwdriver. After the knob is loose, a small nut comes out. Loosen this small nut as well.
2. Remove the thermostat from the housing
If necessary, remove the lampshade first by loosening the screws. In some cases, you can leave the lampshade in place. Remove the housing from the thermostat. The remaining screws holding the housing may be loosened. The long end (the metal cord) runs into the refrigerator. Pull it out completely.
3. Place the new thermostat in the right place
Unroll the long wire all the way and put it into the refrigerator, where the old end just came out.
4. Place the new thermostat back in the housing
Place the thermostat in the right place in the housing. Fasten the wiring and tighten the nut. Also place the overall housing back in the right place. Then retighten the screws of the housing, lampshade and thermostat knob.
