Step-by-step plan

What do you need?

Always start first:

  • Unplug the power cord.
  • Turn off the faucet.
  • Tip: When disassembling the old part, take regular pictures, so you can easily see how to reassemble the new part.

Replacing washing machine drive belt:

1. Detach the panel at the back.
To replace the washing machine's drive belt, you need to be at the back of the appliance. Turn the washing machine over. Loosen the panel at the back by unscrewing the screws with a screwdriver.

2. Remove the old drive belt.
You will see the drive belt sitting between the motor and the drum drive wheel. Loosen the belt by gently pulling it away from the drum drive wheel.

3. Fit the new drive belt.
First place the new drive belt around the motor shaft (at the bottom of the washing machine). Then pull it over the drum drive wheel while rolling. Reattach the panel. You have replaced the drive belt and the washing machine is ready to use again!

The correct number is the type- or model number and NOT the serial number. The model number is a row of numbers and/or letters. Sometimes the model number contains a hyphen (-) or a forward slash (/).
