AEG is a German manufacturer of electrical parts and appliances including white goods and kitchen appliances. The company was founded in 1883 by Emil Rathenau. The original name was first D.E.G (Deutsche Edison-Gesellschaft für angewandte Elektrizität). In 1887, the name was changed to Allgemeine Elektricitäts-Geseellschaft, also known as AEG. From 1910 to 1918, AEG built aircraft. In 19335, AEG developed the first tape recorder for high-wattage sound recording. Today, AEG is not known for aircraft or tape recorders but for their electrical appliances. So you can also know AEG for their cookers, ovens, hoovers or freezers. In 1994, AEG wed be acquired by Electrolux. That's when AEG-Electrolux was formed.
The coffee maker is an important component in most kitchens. Some people can't get through their day without coffee. So when your AEG coffee maker breaks down, it's a very annoying problem. You don't switch to instant coffee but you also want a nice cup of coffee. That is why it is important to repair your coffee maker. FixPart always advises to first check whether you can repair your appliance before taking other actions. Repairing your appliance yourself is better for your wallet and the environment. Buying a separate part is often much cheaper than calling in a mechanic or ordering an entirely new appliance. When you repair your appliance, you immediately prolong its lifespan. Because you do not immediately throw away your broken appliance, but instead repair it, you help reduce e-waste. Curious about whether you can repair your appliance? Then do the repair check.
A sealing ring is a small part and fortunately easy to replace. A sealing ring can solve many problems. The seal ring ensures that different parts through which liquid runs, such as tubes, fit together properly. When the seal ring is broken or dries out, leaks can occur in the coffee maker. You don't want this to happen. Do you notice coffee or water leaking from your machine? If so, always check the sealing rings first.
Every coffee maker contains a heating element. The heating element differs per coffee maker. The heating element allows the water in your coffee maker to reach the right temperature for a perfect cup of coffee. You notice that the heating element of your coffee maker is broken because the temperature of your coffee is colder than normal. Your coffee maker may also stop the programme for a cup of coffee when the water no longer reaches the right temperature. So you will quickly realise when the heating element is broken. You can replace the heating element of your coffee maker. To find the right heating element for your AEG coffee maker, we recommend you search via the search bar. With the type number of your appliance. You can then filter on the heating element and you will get a list of results that all fit your specific appliance. This way, you don't have to make a guessing purchase and therefore have more certainty. Questions about your type number? Then get in touch with us.

The tool is called the repair check and you can use it on our website. Besides our collaboration with Natuur & Milieu, we are also a partner of Repair Café. As a partner of Repair Café, we help reduce e-waste and extend the life of your appliances. We also have a partnership with TreesForAll. In collaboration with them, we plant a tree every few orders.
